琼脂糖是由1,3连接的B-D-半乳呋喃糖和1,4连接的3,6脱水.a-L-半乳呋喃糖相间联结而成。琼脂中除琼脂糖外,尚含有琼脂糖果胶(Agaropectin)和丙酮酸等带电荷基团分子,在琼脂糖制备过程中尽可能地去除掉这些带电荷分子,以便获得品质优良的电荷中性产品。主要用于生物化学实验室中,作为电泳、层析等技术中的半固体支持物,用于生物大分子或小分子物质的分离。在蛋白,多糖,核酸,病毒等分离纯化有广泛的应用。本公司生产的琼脂糖凝胶强度高、弹性好、硫酸根低、电渗低,透明度高等优点。

Agarose is made from agar. Besides of agarose,it also has Agaropectin and pyruvic acid which has charge in agar.
